Goldfish

Colours/types of Goldfish vary depending on season andavailability, so we do recommend that you come in store to select and catch them yourself.

Some handy hints and tips:

• Approximate stocking rate 20-30 per 1000lt.
• Feed once every 2 days, at most. They can happily live off algae and insect larvae.
• Goldfish can handle a wide temperature range. Warmer months you may need to add oxygen for larger fish (pond pump).
• Not carnivorous, but can eat eggs or fry.
• Breeding season is Spring and Summer.
• Suitable for smaller ponds and aquariums.

In store goldfish are all catch yourself, prices generally start at $6 (or 10 for $50), and increase from there.
If coming from a long distance we recommend calling ahead to confirm availability.
